I've got family in town for a few days. That and a crazy work schedule have made it hard to update. So this is my quick check-in to let you lovely readers know that:
1. I got a real, gen-yoo-ine period this week, complete with some raucously painful cramps and lots'o'blood. So that is good and normal, particularly after the menstrual shenanigans of the last couple of months.
2. I went to see Dr. Charmin yesterday for a sonogram. No cysts. Follicles where they should be and beginning to vye for attention. All good.
3. I start Clomid today. I'm on the day 3-7 program. Will start testing with OPKs next weekend, and a follow-up sonogram on day 12 if I haven't surged yet.
4. If this cycle doesn't work, we're breaking out the needles. That scares me but, at the same time, I'm ready for more aggressive treatment. We shall see.
And now I must shower. I am rank and greasy, friends, and that is no condition in which to meet one's parents.
Thanks for the quickie update. And sounds like pretty damn fine news at that. Well done and good luck. We'll be crossing fingers all week.
